Do you have a comeback strategy for if you crash 💥 on your mountain bike?*
(reposted from @littlebellasmtb)

Oh you don’t? Here, try this one:

1) Give yourself a minute or two to settle down. Falling off your bike can often cause a rush of adrenaline and leave you a little shaky. Take all the time you need to calm yourself down.

2) Find the positive. Even a crash has its benefits. For instance, did your shorts get caught on your saddle and cause you to lose balance? Maybe you need different riding shorts.

3) Be accountable. What could you have done better or differently to prevent crashing? Are you relying on excuses (the person in front of me hit the brakes, which caused me to run into her and crash) or are you taking ownership of your own ride?

4) Be objective. This is where having great ride leader comes in handy. Learning and understanding why we crashed from someone we trust can help us improve.

5) Learn and move on. There’s always another ride to go on. Let the crash be a teacher that motivates you to try again!

Happy trails this weekend!

While it doesn't look steep in the image, it does take significant power and technique to climb.
Wouldn't it be great if it was as easy to go up as it is to come down?
Trail rehab is in the works this winter to help it drain better and suffer less erosion.

After a week of sustained chaos, leak is fixed and everything is mostly dry – today marked a return to normal.
